Wings Over Camarillo Air Show
Volunteer Opportunity for Ham Operators
The Wings Over Camarillo Air Show is looking for volunteers to assist with event communications. Amateur Operators are welcome to volunteer (not GMRS only). Volunteers will walk the grounds and report needs during the event. The shifts are four hours each. Entry to the airshow as well as free lunch and some swag will be provided to the volunteers. You will of course need to hold a valid AMATEUR license and bring your own HT and equipment (shoulder mic or other external mic recommended).

August 29 - "Day at the Beach"
We're heading to Bolsa Chica beach for a day of sun, sand, and good vibes. Come meet the people you talk to on the repeaters and enjoy the day. We setup the popups for shade, enjoy the sun and surf, have an evening beach bonfire, and grill some food. Bolsa Chica is also a POTA location, so amateur operators can bring you HF field units to do some activations.

New MCRC USA Zello Channel
We're excited to announce that we've set up a Zello channel to make club communications easier and more accessible.
To get started:
- Download the Zello app on your smartphone
- Search for and join the "MCRC USA" channel
- Please include your GMRS or Amateur Radio call sign in your Zello profile/contact description so other members can easily identify you
Zello is a push-to-talk communication app that works anywhere you have an internet connection. It's a great way to stay connected whether you're at home, traveling, or on the go. If you prefer dedicated hardware, Zello also supports compatible push-to-talk radios.
We're always looking for new ways to keep our members connected, no matter where we are on this beautiful planet. In the near future, we'll also be opening our Zello channel to non-MCRC members from around the country, giving us an opportunity to meet fellow radio enthusiasts, share ideas, and make new friends.
