Bravo Round Table - "The Perfect GMRS HT"

If you were able to build the perfect GMRS HT, what would it have that others don’t? What would be taken out that others have but are not needed?

We are in contact with a manufacturer that is designing a new HT for the GMRS market and they would like real GMRS user feedback from our members in order to make the perfect GMRS radio.

Come Have a Field Day with SOARA

South Orange Amateur Radio Association "SOARA" is holding their annual "Field Day" at James G. Gilleran Park in Mission Viejo, and they have invited MCRC to join in the fun. Every June, 40,000 hams, in affiliation with ARRL, set up temporary transmitting stations throughout North America in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill, and service to our communities.

The event starts at 11am Saturday, June 27th, running overnight to 11 am Sunday Morning! The public is welcome to attend. Even if you don't have a ham license, you can try transmitting on their "GOTA" (Get on the Air) Station under their club's license authority. There will also be Amateur License testing at 2pm on Saturday for those who would like to get their Technician license or upgrade to General or Extra.

Come check it out and stop by to say hello at the Mesa Crest Repeater Club booth as well! We will be there Saturday morning into the late afternoon.
